Richmond Russell Obituary

RUSSELL WINSTON-SALEM ~ Richmond Franklin "Bobby" Russell, Jr. Richmond Franklin "Bobby" Russell, Jr., died Saturday November 26, 2011 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem. Graveside Services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at Mt. Gur Cemetery. A native of Greenville South Carolina, Bobby was the son of the late Richmond Franklin Russell, Sr., and Betty Louise Darwin Russell. Bobby retired from Piedmont Sheet Metal after many years of service. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Winston-Salem. Bobby enjoyed hunting, fishing, Harley-Davidson Motorcycles, and classic cars. He is survived by his loving wife Wanda S. Russell of the home; son Brad Russell and wife Lee of Kernersville; grandson and best buddy Andrew Russell; and three sisters and two brothers. The family will visit with friends from 1 until 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Winston-Salem, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. I would always smile when Richmond Franklin "bobby" Russell Jr., as I came to call him, came strolling across the motorcycle parking lot at Smokin Harley. I called him my friend, because in our short time together, I could not help but be charmed by his gentle demeaner. We all at Smokin will miss him
