PRATT, GAIL MAURINE Ann Arbor, MI formerly of Chelsea
Age 70, died Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at her home in Ann Arbor. She was born August 22, 1943 in Jackson, Michigan, the daughter of Richard P. and Alice L. (Jenks) Manning. Gail earned her nursing license from Mercy School of Nursing of Detroit. She worked for 40 years as a nurse at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Mercywood and Hillside Terrace. Survivors include her mother, Alice; a son, Byron (Marianne) Pratt of Stockbridge; a daughter, Denise (Christopher) Rednour of Ann Arbor; a sister, Rita (Robert) Yates of Ann Arbor; three grandchildren, Bailey, Isaac and Isabella Pratt; and four nieces and nephews. Gail was preceded in death by her father. A funeral service will be held Friday, May 2, 11 am at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Dr. William J. Turner officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Woodland Cemetery in Jackson, Michigan. Memorial contributions may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice or the Chelsea Hospital Infusion Center. As a member of the Ladies of St. Mary Church in Chelsea, Gail was always there to help when her health dictated. She was a kind, compassionate person and will always be remembered for the good things she did for others. My deepest condolences to the family and may she rest in peace.
