Glenn Weir Obituary
WEIR, GLENN G. Chelsea, Michigan
Age 76, died peacefully Monday, April 28, 2014 at his home with his family. He was born September 16, 1937 in Grindstone City, MI, the son of Clive and Leila (Phair) Weir. Glenn graduated from Chelsea High School in 1956, then attended Central Michigan University. He served in the US Army from 1960-1962. Glenn worked for the Dana Corporation for 32 years. Later, he worked at Hillside Terrace and Polly's and delivered the Ann Arbor News. Glenn was a member of the JC's, bowled for many years, and was a baseball/softball umpire for many years. Glenn taught Sunday School at Chelsea First United Methodist Church, then attended Immanuel Bible Church. On October 23, 1965, he married Joyce E. Andress in Ann Arbor, MI, and she survives. Other survivors include four children, Tim (Marie) Weir of Michigan Center, Daniel Weir of Chelsea, Jennifer (Ryan) Hudson of Jackson, Amy (Matt) Majeske of Chelsea; a sister, Janice Roach of St. Charles, MS; seven grandchildren, Geoffrey, Rileigh, Ayden, Will, Gauge, Morgan and Madison; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Stanley and Jack Weir; a sister, Shirley Liebeck; and an infant grandson, Caleb Weir. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 2, 11 AM at Cole Funeral Chapel, Chelsea, with visitation Thursday 3-5 and 7-9 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Immanuel Bible Church, or Cascades Humane Society.

Joyce, Amy, and Weir family, The Pfeiffers send our prayers and warm thoughts of healing in this sad time. We are forever grateful for the love and care we received when Joyce watched Ethan as a baby. It was always fun catching up with Glenn at Polly's and he will be dearly missed.
