Joyce A. Lovely

Lovely, Joyce A. (Grob) Dexter, Michigan Age 70, went home to be with her family and Lord on Monday, August 22, 2016 at her home in Dexter. She was born December 7, 1945 in Jackson, Michigan , the daughter of Roy & Bertie (Fitzpatrick) Whitaker. Joyce enjoyed working in her flower gardens, reading, going to the casino, playing bingo, and her wonderful rescued cats. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, the Grob and Lovely families, friends and her cats. On July 25, 1996, she married Oren Lovely, and he survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Tracy (Kevin) Harvey of Milford; two sons, Jeffery Lovely of Dexter, Rodney (Debbie) Lovely of Whitmore Lake; 6 grandchildren, Amber Lovely of TX, Michele Landers of Ypsilanti, Steven Landers and Bryan Holt of Milford, Krissy Lovely of Whitmore Lake, Brian McClure (Kitty Dunn) of Flint; 3 sisters-in law, Marge Smith of AL, Bert Vogt of AL, Gloria (Rich) Navaree of OH; and her best friends, Cindy (George) Kimble and Nella (Mitchell Whitaker) George. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Grob; a son, Bryn Mahan; 3 grandchildren, Edwin, Brittni & Rochelle Landers; four siblings, Paul Whitaker, Charles Whitaker, Earl Whitaker, and Janive Pearson; two brothers-in-law, David Lovely, Bill Smith; sister-in-law, Nancy Smith; her good friend, Richard Gerstler; and Chevy Lovely, the most wonderful cat in the world. Joyce especially wants to mention her nephew Bill Bates and niece Christy Kalso for the love they have shown her. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 26, 11:00 am at Cole Funeral Chapel, Chelsea, with The Rev. Dr. Michael Brian officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove East Cemetery, Chelsea. The family will receive friends Thursday 3-5 & 7-9 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to her family or the Humane Society of Huron Valley.
