Such sad news has stirred some fond memories from my years at Blessed Sacrament School. John was a classmate and I always enjoyed sleepovers at the Hommels. The entire family seemed so warm and welcoming and fun. These qualities are a wonderful reflection of your Mother and the traits she instilled in you. God bless all of you as you deal with this loss.

Aunt Evie was a special lady. A wonderful wife and mother, and sister-in-law to my father. My thoughts are with you since I couldn't be....

John, your mom sounds like a great lady. I always wondered who helped start Regina High School. Now I know it was your mom and dad. My sister Joyce was in the first graduating class.
Good luck to you and your family.
