Michael Jankuski Obituary

Jankuski, Michael W. Lyndon Twp, MI Age 51, died Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Saint Vincent Hospital in Billings, Montana. Mike was born September 7, 1964 in Oak Lawn, Illinois, the son of Richard Adam & Betty Lee (Kern) Jankuski. Michael was a 1982 graduate of Chelsea High School. Michael was a huge fan of the Detroit Red Wings and Detroit Tigers sports teams. Mike was also a huge cat lover. Mike had just relocated to Montana, near his sister and brother to begin a new chapter in his life after the loss of his father in February. He was extremely excited to spend time with his nieces and nephews and was looking forward to the upcoming July 4th holiday family gathering. A life gone too quickly, he was greatly loved and will be missed terribly. He is survived by his brother, Doug (Beth) Jankuski of Colorado; his sister Tammy Lake of Montana, his nephews Corey Graen, Adam Lake, Dillon Thomas; and his nieces Kira Pewonka, Kayla Rushing, and Nadine Thomas. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, an aunt and uncle. A graveside service, for both he and his father Richard, will be held at St. Casimir Cemetery, Chicago, Illinois on September 16, 2016.

Mikey and Rich were two of the good guys at the former paper in Ann Arbor. I feel like I have two more friends in heaven.

A life gone to quickly is accurate. I enjoyed talking to Mike when he came into the lab. He will be so missed. Praying for Mike's family and friends. He struggled so hard to live and was always so happy and determined. Peace be with you Mike.

Mike, you will forever be known as the cat loving hockey loving #1 fan. You were the world to gram your parents and all of us in the family. Gram was most concerned about you on her death bed or maybe she knew something. We can't know how great a support you were to your mon and dad. Everything you did for them and they for you was just a symbol of such an awesome God filled love. We will miss you.
