I just found out about this after googling our last name back home in Dexter. This is your cousin Steve in Las Vegas. I was just coming to terms with the fact that Aunt Lucille passed (I didn't know that for several years after the fact) and now cousin Pat. I am very sorry for your loss. I remember Pat very well from my childhood at Portage Lake and she was always a favorite along with Corky of my dad, their Uncle Johnny. I am very sorry we have lost contact over the years. We second generation "Laski's , Leski's, Lasky's or La-Sky's" (whoever you spell the Americanized version of our proud Polish "Lesniewski" are all a vanishing breed. I wish we were in closer contact. I think of you all often and would love to get together with all of my first cousins (the adult children of Ed and Lucille). Mark and Max know how to get in touch with me and I would love to put together some kind of reunion. My two sons (both about Mark's kids ages) would love to know from where they came. My sincere condolences.

Our sincerest sympathies to Bern and Yvette on the recent passing of this amazing woman. She was a beautiful person, both inside and out, who was always smiling and sharing herself with everyone she met. She touched so many lives in her community, with people that she worked with, in her ministries at church and all of the people who received the rosaries that she made for the missions. We will miss you, dear friend but know you are up in heaven helping your Lord and his angels in touching our lives!

I just had to write to say how sorry I was to hear of Patti's passing. Patti was a funny, full-spirited, adventurous, loving, beautiful and smart woman with boundless energy and the most wonderful smile imaginable. I never knew how she did it but she was capable of putting a smile on everyone's face she met. Every person I witnessed who talked to Patti left feeling better and lighter and happier. I knew Patti when she worked in local theatre with Rob and Larry. I haven't seen her in a few years but I have never, ever forgotten her. I think she missed her calling. She would have been a wonderful professional story teller - the stories she used to tell about her family, her travels, her career and her life in Europe would have us all laughing in the aisles. I don't think Patti realized what a special person she was - I sure wish I had told her what a positive influence she had in my life. I also want Patti's family to know how much she loved and treasured you all - she felt blessed to have you in her life. I know she was sad to leave everyone she loved (especially her husband and daughter) but I also can see her hugging and laughing with her mom. Be strong and know Patti is in a wonderful place - heaven.

Patti....my dear, dear friend, neighbor, and first true connection I was lucky enough to meet in Florida. I will be forever grateful to have known such a fabulously loving, sharing and fun lady.
