Joyce R. Marconi, 69 years old, of Port Monmouth, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at Riverview Medical Center, Red bank. Joyce was born on April 1, 1944 in Jersey City. She attended the Ferris High School, also in Jersey City. As she grew older, she met her husband, John whom she was married for 50 wonderful years. They both settled in Port Monmouth where they raised their family. Joyce worked for Fine Flowers in Middletown for 25 years. She was a member of the American Legion 515 with her husband, John and also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW 2179. Joyce loved cruising and vacationing whenever possible. She also loved spending special time with her grandchildren.

Joyce was predeceased by her parents, Walter and Mary. She was the beloved wife of John and also was the devoted mother of Joyann and her husband Troy, and David and his wife Michelle. Joyce was the loving grandmother to Troy, Caitlin, Sydney, and Alex. She was also the cherished sister of Gloria.

Joyce will be reposing from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2013, with a prayer service at 8 p.m. at the Evergreen Memorial Funeral Home, 1735 Rte. 35, Middletown. Interment will be on Thursday, May 23 at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Cemetery in Wrightstown.
