Family-Placed Death Notice
LINDA CHURCH Linda Church, 53, of Kennesaw died Saturday February 10, 2006. A Georgia native, Mrs. Church was born in Sylvania, Georgia in December 1952. Linda was a former cabin crew member with US Air and was a Re/Max realtor for five years prior to starting Team Church Realty with her husband. She was an active member and past President of the Kennesaw Optimist Club. Linda was a dedicated volunteer at the North Cobb Animal Rescus Shelter and Our Pals Place pet adoption center. Linda is survived by her husband of 17 years, Kennesaw Mayor, Leonard Church, two daughters, Pamela Vandergriff and Angela Church and 3 grandchildren, Zane, Emily, and Lucy Vandergriff. Linda is remembered by loved ones as a person who had a passion for her family, pets and the community, and for her laughter. Her life was characterized by her enthusiasm for art, music, travel, tennis, and her faith. The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, Febraury 18 at the NorthStar Church in Kennesaw. Services celebrating the life of Linda Church begin at 11:00 a.m., with Reverend Marlon Longacre officiating. Flowers can be delivered on Friday, February 17 to Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home on North Cobb Parkway in Kennesaw. Donations in lieu of flowers can be sent to Our Pals Place, 4508 Canton Road, Marietta, Georgia 30066. 678-795-0202

Linda is my cousin and we use to be close until she married for the third time and then we lost contact.
I had been trying to contact her lately with little success. She lived with my husband and I twice, first when she left home to come to Atlanta to go to school, and the second time when she had been attacked in her apartment, until she regained her confidence, plus she was pursuing her Real Estate License. I will always have fond memories of Linda.
