Dear Bramsen Family,
Brett was a teammate of mine at Mesa Community College. It was no secret that Brett loved baseball. His contagious smile was one of the things I will always remember. My brother Josh and I knew he had passed away but never knew where he was burried. That is until my dad was burried and I saw his site(not far from my dad). Your son will always be remembered. I only knew Brett for a few years but his friendship will stay with me forever.

Time does not fade the memory of your presence.

Because you were here the world is a better place.

Because you were among them people you encountered have benefited.

The mark you left is and will be warmly remembered by many.

The passage of time is dimmed by the brilliance that now surrounds you.

Phil, Carole, and all the Bramsen family members and friends,

The year has passed quickly in some respects, yet it seems like yesterday when Brett passed, that painful memory will be a long time fading for me. I hope you have achieved some measure of inner peace and found some degree of emotional balance returning to your lives.

Dear Carole,

I never knew Brett except through Carlos at the gym. When he left last year I remember wanting to call you many times to see if you were lonely or if you wanted to talk but I never did. I guess that I didn't want to intrude on your family while you were so sad. Last month I lost my brother to circumstances similar to Brett's and there are times when I feel like there isn't a soul out there who would "get" what I might be saying. Micah and Brett had so many similarities that when Brett died I thought about how lost I would feel if I ever lost my brother. I thought that it would kill me when he died but by some cruel twist of fate it didn't. I hope that you and your family are doing well. I wish that Carlos and I would have been there more for you last May but I don't think that we knew how. I don't know if you ever read this guestbook but I thought that it was worth a try. My thoughts are with you right now and I hope that you are having more "not so bad days" than "horrible days"(that seems to be how things are measure in my family now). Maybe if you read this you can call Carlos, he's at the Moon Valley club. Take care

Brett had a way of making you smile even when you were at your lowest. He had a way about him that lit up a room. I treasure the time spent with him and the place he holds in my heart.

August 21, 2004

Dear Bramsen Family,

Like Paul, I never signed this book earlier either. Never thought I'd have to do something like this for a wonderful friend. It aches to do this now, but here goes: Brett was always there helping others, be it with his words or a compassionate understanding nod. Over the past 7 years, I grew to know Brett like I would a brother; playfully joking, sometimes arguing, always being there to lend an ear to one another. There's so much more to say... Brett's picture is above my desk in a frame - his memory; always on my heart which hurts badly since his departure. May all of you find yourselves smiling in remembering all the great times. I'm here for you...
