Azzedine Alaia

I met Azzedine Alaia in the early 1990's while working in soho, in a clothing store called Canal Jean Co. I spoke too him in what little French I knew and I think he appreciat d it. I told him how much he influenced me as a designer/illustrator, and still does to this day. I still feel shocked and saddened by his passing.

We saw a lot of creativity and inspiration from Mr. Alaia. He was the backbone of many like Cambell stated. May Alaia's family treasure his great attributes in their hearts. Knowing that soon we shall be in the new world. (2 Pt. 3:13)

Our hearts go out to you at this time and in the days ahead.

To the Friends and Family of Azzedine Alaia:
I am so truly sorry for your loss. He will be greatly missed by many great people. It's such a shame to loss such a talented designer from the world. Please take comfort in Acts 24:15. "There is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous".

My condolences to family and friends who love you, Azzedine. The fashion industry will forever miss your creativity.

It can be so hard to face the first year without your loved one, but the love of family and friends can carry you through.
