William J. Halsch

1922-2013 William J. Halsch, 91, of Lenox, Massachusetts, passed away on October 22, 2013 at Berkshire Medical Center in the company of his loving family. Born in Hoboken, New Jersey, on March 3, 1922, he was the son of the late William A. and Mildred Duffek Halsch. He obtained a BBA from Manhattan College and an MBA from Fairleigh Dickenson University. Bill served as a Naval Aviator, Lt. from 1942 to 1946. Following his military service, he had a career in financial management and retired in 1989. He enjoyed golf, gardening, travel, music, and spending quality time with his family of whom he was very proud. Bill and his wife, Elizabeth, were married at St. Cecilia Church in Englewood, NJ in 1950. Besides his wife of Lenox, Mr. Halsch is survived by one daughter, Betsy, and her husband Chris Howard of Sydney, Australia, and two sons: Bill of Park Ridge, New Jersey, and Peter and his wife Donna of Saddle River, New Jersey. He also leaves two granddaughters: Caitlin and Rebecca Howard of Sydney, Australia. Besides his parents, Bill was predeceased by his brother, Edwin, in 2008. FUNERAL NOTICE: A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, November 2, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Ann Church in Lenox, celebrated by the Rev. Christopher J. Waitekus, Pastor.
