I grew up watching him as Dr. Bombay, also Hogan's Heroes and Andy Grifith. Never met him but I admired his work as an actor and his service to his nation and ours during the war. I know that I sure miss him every time I see one of his characters on the screen.
The world lost a talent and a real life hero.
