James Manear Obituary

July 24, 2015 age 87, of Birmingham, passed away Friday, July 24, 2015. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and was a U. S. Army Veteran of World War II. James was a devoted husband of 57 years, a loving father and grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife, Juanita Manear; daughters, Shelia Manear and Sandra Harris; sons, Rickey (Vanessa) Manear, James Manear, Jr., Kenneth Morrow and Hubbie Morrow. Public visitation will be held Friday, July 31, 2015 from 1:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Smith & Gaston Southside Chapel. Mr. Manear will lie in repose from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at New Hope Baptist Church, 1740 Cleburn Avenue S.W., Birmingham, Alabama and his Celebration of Life service will follow. Mr. Manear will be laid to rest in the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, Alabama. Condolences may be left for the family on our website, smithandgastonfuneralhome.com

He's asleep now. . .
1Thessalonians 4:13 "But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. 14 For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep."
