ZAFRAN, Richard Richard Zafran, 63, of Beverly, MA, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2017. Rich is survived by his loving wife Lisa of 24 years, children: Matt, Jeremy, Ross and Corrie, mother, Marilyn and brother, Stanley. Rich was a loving father, husband, son, brother and friend to all. As a graduate of Boston College and Tufts Dental School, Rich worked as a dentist for 32 years where he was held in high regard by his patients. He enjoyed boating, attending Celtics games with his children, and do it yourself home projects. He especially enjoyed his sports cars. Visiting Hours: Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 13 at 10am at Temple B'Nai Abraham, 200 E. Lothrop St. in Beverly. Burial will be private for immediate family. Shiva services to be held at the home of Lisa Levine-Zafran, 14A Stone St, Beverly, Thursday 1pm-8pm, Friday 4pm-6pm and Sunday 5pm-8pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Alzheimer's Association.

I was so shocked to learn about Rich's passing. Though I haven't seen him in years, I would think about him from time to time. I will have wonderful memories of Rich and his wonderful sense of humor. My best to his family.

I was very saddened to learn of Rich's passing, especially at such a young age. I knew Rich when we were both members of the Jewish Student Alliance at Boston College. Rich always had a smile on his face, got along with everyone, and was someone whose happiness and positive outlook was contagious. He was one of the people who made those years at the "JSA" so enjoyable for all its members.

Sympathies and condolences from myself and my wife Rhonda to Rich's wife, children, family, friends and patients. I know his departure will leave an empty place in the hearts those who knew him, but also that he left a positive mark on the many lives he touched.
