Alberta (Stroud) Dimmett
Evansville, Ind.
Alberta (Stroud) Dimmett, 93, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Bethel Manor. She was born June 18, 1921 in McClean County, KY to the late Roy and Virginia Stroud. She was a General Baptist and a past member of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include son, Larry Dimmett (Mary), grandchildren, Greg Dimmett (Kyla), Amanda Rice (Joffre); great-grandsons, Matthew and Daniel; siblings, Betty Maciag, Roy Coleman Stroud (Glenda), Harry Stroud (Katherine); aunt, Merle Eaton; sister-in-law, Beatrice Ferguson; many nieces and nephews.
Alberta is preceded in death by parents; husband, Gene Dimmett; siblings, O.V. and Clyde Stroud, Jonell Clark and Winona Sue Miles.
Visitation will be held at 11 a.m. with services at 1 p.m., Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Meyer Chapel, 100 E. Columbia St. Evansville, IN. (812) 424-9288. Brother Joffre Rice will officiate. Sympathy wishes may be made at titzerfuneralhomes.com.

I cared for Alberta during the years she spent at Bethel Manor, she was a very sweet, loving, amazing woman, always smiling. She will be dearly missed.

So sorry to hear of Alberta's passing. We were first cousins but hadn't seen each other for a long time. I am Ona Ruth O'Flynn's daughter, Betty. She ans Aunt Virgie were sisters. May God Bless and Keep you and give you peace and strength for this time.
