McCARTHY - Joanne L. (nee Leahy) Formerly of Akron, OH April 6, 2015. Beloved wife of the late Patrick McCarthy; loving mother of Anne (Richard) Davidovich, Mary (Kevin) McCleary, Patricia (James) Spiegel, Patrick (Melissa) McCarthy and Ellen (Joseph) Greene; dear grandmother of Mark, Kaitlyn, Patrick S., Kevin, Patrick M., Thomas S., Claire, JohnPatrick, Thomas M., Matthew, Catherine, Katherine, Joseph and Emily; sister of Rose (late Jack) McMahon, Patricia (late Leslie) Monroe and the late Kate (Earl) Hamlin, Michael and William Leahy; sister-in-law of Donna Leahy; also survived by nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call Thursday 5-7 PM at the DIETRICH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2480 Kensington Ave., Amherst. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 9:30 AM at SS Peter & Paul Church, 5480 Main, Williamsville, 14221. Please assemble at church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Carmelite Monastery, 75 Carmel Rd., Buffalo, 14214, or charity of your choice. Online condolences may be made at www.TheDietrichFuneralHome.com

Jim and I normally send notes when people we care about leave us, but we're out here in Arizona and there are several of you whose addresses we don't have. Anyway, we're so sorry Joanne has gone. She was a great lady and will be missed by all who knew her. We had some great times with her and your father!
