Dad, It's so hard to believe that it's been 10 years today that you left. The day you left I couldn't imagine this far ahead. So much has happened since you went away and then mom, too.
I find myself thinking and saying how much you'd enjoy the baby. He'd have loved you and your tricks. But I believe you see us and the baby and all that he does to make our lives happy again.

I hope you and Mom are together and please know you're with us, always.

Sending love up to you.
Your loving daughter, Emira

Benjamin C. Marotta was truly one of a kind. He represented to us a man of love, caring and hard work. We were blessed to be able to know him as our Uncle Benny. He was always proud of his Italian-American heritage that he wore on his sleeve, and hat. He raised his family in that tradition, as our father did and their father before them. He taught his craft to many, always sharing his talents. Uncle Benny had star qualities; he would light up an occasion with his presence. As a uncle, Benny was #1. I vote to retire #1 for him and for all time. Raise it high to the heavens and rejoice.

May God continue to bless his family.

Emira and family,
I am so sorry to hear about the passing away of your dad. I trust that in this time of deep sorrow that the Lord gives you the strength and encouragement that you need for the days ahead.

December 16, 2014

Our deepest sympathies to the Marotta family. I will always remember Mr. Marotta as a kind, gentle & loving dad. Although I did not see him often, I've had the pleasure of knowing him since I was a little girl and hence the reason I call him Mr. Marotta. Not only was he a wonderful father to his children, he cared for those who were not, like me. I am blessed to have known him.

Mr. Marotta became another Grandpa for me, especially since I never really knew mine. His stories about my Grandma Allega, his teaching, his warm smile, and positive outlook on life are what I will miss most. He literally would light up when people would enter a room - he was always happy to see others. I loved watching him tease everyone, and smirk when we teased him back. I'm so blessed to have been apart of his life, and he apart of mine.

Our sincerest condolences to all of the family. Uncle Benny was very dear to us and he'll be greatly missed. We'll never forget how happy and proud he was when he and Aunt Yo were recognized as the longest married couple at our wedding.

I'll miss my Dad always saying call when you get home. And where's Louie and did Gina get to work and home.
If you didn't know my Dad you missed something special ín your life.
He was my Dad and I miss him already. But you pushed the button and now you can sleep. (a 'lil joke between us).
Dad, I'll love you forever,I'll like you for always and as long as I'm living, my Daddy you'll be!
No more worries.
Love, Emira
