Terry Winston Welborn

Terry Winston Welborn Sr., 72, passed away at his home in Folly Beach, SC, on Feb. 21, 2018.
He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Dawn, and his parents, Irvine Smith and Jule Welborn.
He is survived by his son, Terry Welborn Jr., of Fernandina Beach, FL; his brother, Ralph Welborn, two nieces and several cousins.
Mr. Welborn graduated from Bradwell Institute after which he attended North Georgia College. While out of college one semester, he was drafted and served with the Marine Corps in Vietnam in 1966 and 1967, earning a purple heart and many other commendations. Upon his discharge, he returned to college, graduating from Georgia Southern University.
Mr. Welborn worked mostly in Real Estate. He was a man of many talents, one of which was the ability to make people laugh with his wit and stories. He had many friends from all walks of life and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, in the social hall of Midway United Methodist Church, followed by the funeral service led by pastor and friend, Dickie Welch, at 11 in the sanctuary. Burial will be in the church cemetery immediately after the service.
