Im very sad to find out via Facebook that my year 6 school Teacher at Inala west state school Mr Dennis Chester passed away back in 2012. Mr Chester was my favourite teacher. He sang and played guitar in the class room. One song I still remember is a song called Dear Abbey. Mr Chester made me Captain of the Rugby League team when I was in year 7 at Inala West in Brisbane where I grew up. He was a Teacher who really impacted the students he taught.

May god bless you mr chester (sir) you've been the most dam fine teacher at inala west state school I will miss you and think of the way you used to sing with your guitar to us in class everymorning and the way you used to ride that motorbike of yours. youve had a passion about us students that shined brightly and made us kids wanted us to be the best students we could be, Mr chester was a special person an I am a better person for knowing him. you will be sadly missed but never forgotten and god bless your family of this time of loss.

To your family sorry for your loss.Always enjoyed it at school when Mr C would bring his ovation guitar out and sing us some excellent songs,made me start playing guitar thanks for inspiring me.Still can see him doing wheelies on his suzuki on our way to play Football.You will be missed.

Great Man, fabulous teacher and avid guitar player.He was my year 6 teacher and I still have great memories camping and singing by the campfire at Christmas Creek. He loved pens, bikes and watches... spoke pretty good Spanish as well :) Rest in Peace Mr.C
