Jack Hilliard Obituary
Jack, the son of Frank and Vera Hilliard, was born August 25, 1921 in Springfield, Illinois and passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, March 14, 2014 in Lomita, California with his family by his side. Jack proudly served in the United States Navy overseas during World War ll. He resided in the South Bay for 66 years and was a member of the Lomita VFW. He was preceded in death by his son, John Warren Hilliard in 2003. Jack is survived by Grace, the love of his life and wife of 71 years; his devoted daughter, Carolyn and husband Gregory Day; two grandchildren, Adam and wife, Stacy Day and Michelle Day; his nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. The Memorial Service for Mr. Hilliard will be Friday, March 21st at 2:00 p.m. at the interment site in Green Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to The American Lung Association, www.lung.org/california. Please sign the guestbook at www.dailybreeze.com/obits.
