Glennie Wesson Obituary
Visitation will be Monday, July 13, 2015 from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home with the funeral services to follow at 11 a.m. at Radney-Smith Chapel with Pastor Mahlon Felkins officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery in Childersburg.
Glennie was preceded in death by her parents, Freddie Grimes Blalock and Ida Cooper Blalock and a brother Pruitt Blalock.
She is survived by husband of 64 years, Marvin Earl Wesson, Sr.; daughter, Belinda (Ronnie) Ray; son, Marvin Earl (Marilyn) Wesson, Jr.; daughter, Sheree (Pete) Rayfield husband Pete; grandchildren, Ron (Michelle) Ray, Michael (Melissa) Wesson, Brandy (Chris) Bocchino, Jeremy (Lora) Ray, Darby (Seth) Baird; and eight great-granddaughters, Rhoni Ray, Anna Ray, Marley Wesson, Maggie Wesson, Abby Bocchino, Kendall Bocchino, Reagan Ray and Taylor Ray.
Pallbearers will be Earl Wesson Jr., Ronnie Ray, Ron Ray, Michael Wesson, Jeremy Ray and Seth Baird.
In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions be made to either the Children's Program or the Food Pantry at First United Methodist Church in Childersburg.

Radney-Smith Funeral Home in Sylacauga will direct the services.

Dear Wesson Family,
I am so sorry for your earthly loss of this dear lady. Ms. Glennie was one in a million. She and my mother, Robbie Howard, worked together several years. Mother just thought the world of her, and I did, too. Heaven is a sweeter place with her being there, and she is happy to be with her Savior and Lord. We will miss you, Ms. Glennie, and we'll see you one gladsome day!

Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. Mrs. Wesson was a very special person. I always loved to see her on Sundays after church buying groceries and making sure she came to my line when I worked at Winn Dixie. And it was always special to see her in her golf cart fishing in Mike's pond. Even if she did get the golf cart stuck. She was also very sweet to me when my mom passed. We will truly miss seeing her around the loop. May The Lord carry all of you through this especially Mr. Wesson. God bless all of you.
