Not sure what to say?

"Aw !"Gilbert Grape is one of my favorite movies and shes a lovely person with a beautiful soul. May God Bless her and her family.

I met her through my mom on Facebook. We video chatted a few times and had some nice phone conversations. Darlene was really down to earth and such a kind person to know. A true Texan at heart! I used to watch "What's Eating Gilbert Grape" many times when I was a kid. It hits different now when I watch it. Below is the last email I got from her in May of 2016. I hope the big man up in the sky is taking good care of you Darlene! "Not well, sent home with hospice I love you Dalton, you...

I am currently watching what´s eating Gilbert grape. You are from my home state of Texas. People will never understand the struggles of obesity unless they experience it themselves. I think you were a beautiful woman before and after the weight loss. In earthly life, we do the best we can, but people can be so cruel. It´s just my hope and desire that everyone comes to know the love of God and that the world can begin to spread kindness instead of hate. Thank you for putting yourself out there...

I am watching "Gilbert Grape" as I grieve the loss of my mother to obesity. Darlene´s portrayal of depression and obesity is spot on.

To all the family members of Darlene, she had a golden soul. Sorry for her passing

IM SO SORRY. SHE WAS SUCH A BEAUTIFUL PERSON INSIDE AND OUT. GOD BLESS HER FAMILY. LOVE THAT MOVIE!

Darlene was so down to Earth and had a wonderful personality. I met her through Facebook and we became pen pals. I talked with her on the phone a few times and we sent countless emails to each other. Thank you for being a part in my life gagacates :) I will miss you!

God bless you. You're dancing in heaven.

Not a dry eye in the house after watching the movie you appeared in, no you never planned on how things turned out, and I wish you knew how inspirational you became to many. You touched my heart with those words even if they were written for you, I am sure you meant them.
Rest in peace you beautiful soul in a place where there no health issues or struggles ever more.
