Dr. James Michael FRANK

1957 - 2016

FRANK, Dr. James Michael "Jim" Of Beavercreek, Ohio died peacefully Friday, Dec. 30, 2016, surrounded by his loving family at Hospice of Dayton. Jim was born on July 16, 1957 in Dubuque, Iowa, son to Francis J. and Cecelia M. (Konzen) Frank. He graduated from Loras College and the Des Moines School of Osteopathic Medicine. Jim worked as a dedicated physician who was known to go above and beyond for his patients. Those who knew Jim found him to be a very giving, compassionate, funny, studious, and intelligent person who led his life with humility. Most of all, Jim was known for his love of Jesus Christ and his family. On August 18, 1979, Jim married Hedy (Migally) Frank in Dubuque, Iowa with whom he had three children. Jim was a loving and attentive father and grandfather who imparted his love of education to his children. He was a passionate learner, particularly with regard to WWII, in which his father had served. Jim is survived by his wife; his three children, Heather (Nicholas) Shannon, Lindsey (Lorenzo) Mora, and Brandon Frank; his four grandchildren, Elena and Angela Mora and Sophia and Sonya Shannon; and his sister Kathy Kilburg. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Sheryl Coleman. A private memorial service will be held by Jim's family.
