John Saunders Obituary

John V. Saunders

Pittsville-John V. Saunders 81 of Pittsville, died Tuesday, December 09, 2014 at his home.

Born in Wilmington, DE, he was the son of the late John and Eda Righter Saunders.

Mr. Saunders worked at General Motors for over 37 years. He attended Middletown Baptist Church. He enjoyed fixing things, yard work and Lionel Trains. He was a strong Christian man and his favorite time of year was Christmas.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Miriam Saunders; daughter, Dorothy Saunders; grandson, Lewis Anderson and wife, Tiffany; granddaughter, Erica Daub; great-grandchildren: Lewis Anderson III, Troy Anderson and Jonathan Anderson and a brother, Howard Saunders. He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.

A funeral service will be held Friday, December 12, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Salisbury Baptist Temple with visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor Carlo Leto assisted by Brother Jacque Spicer will officiate. Interment will be in Parsons Cemetery in Salisbury.
