George was like a second Dad to me all of my life. My Mom and Dad loved he and Nancy as their best friends. It was fate from WWII that their paths kept crossing, and led them to both locate in Denver, work together, build G&N 1st home, go into business together, and when my Dad died in 1973 at only age 52, George was right there to help us through all the grief and red tape. He was an inspiration to me as well as a very good story teller. We will miss you George, but hope you are having a beer with my Dad and swapping more stories. Mom and I send our love, and we will watch over your special gal "Nancy".

I've known Jay since the early 60's, and through Jay knew George -- a great man.
I'm sure George is flying with a freedom and joy far beyond imagination.
My heartfelt condolences go out to all his family and friends. God Bless, Will Porter
