My thoughts and prayers are with Steven and his family. I have known Steven since Washington Park Elementary. He was my best friend during those years. He was intelligent, funny and kind. Steven had a good heart and soul. God bless him and his family.

The confident sound of your trumpet, Steve, made all of us who played with you stronger. We miss you already.

I am so sorry to hear of Steve's passing. It was a privilege to have worked with him with our Inside the Orchestra programs. We have become an extended family after 30 years of my tenure in Denver and Steve was part of that musical family.

So many musical experiences with Steve; it is difficult to think of the Denver free-lance world without him. As a contractor as well as fellow musician, he was a pleasure to have on any gig. I am saddened to hear of his passing, but relieved for Steve and his family that his suffering is over. He will truly be missed.

Steve always gave his all to the music he was performing, including after he became ill. I will miss seeing him in the trumpet section on performances but I am glad that he is at peace & not suffering any longer. My heartfelt thoughts & prayers go out to his family and all of his musical family here in Denver.

Steve's passing is tragic and painful for our music community. His beautiful trumpet sound will be missed very much at the St. Jude Church. What a joy he was to work with! Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this very difficult time.

We will miss Steve's spirit, talent and humor as a member of the Montview Church Orchestra for some 30 years. We loved him. John Kuzma

I was privileged to know Steve when we were both at Flesher Hinton in Aurora, and he was just out of school at DU. Steve was a loyal friend, a great musician, and will be sorely missed. Prayers to Steve's family.

Steve was an amazing trumpet instructor for my son, Kyle, during his middle school years about 10 years ago. I am deeply saddened to learn of Steve's sudden illness and untimely passing. My sympathy to Steve's family and his music family at Arapahoe Philharmonic as well as all his students. Kyle is out of state now but I will inform him of Steve's death and know he will want to remember Steve in meaningful way.

I will miss Steven as one of my former students at Lamont who grew up to become a colleague here in the musical life of Metro Denver. I've become used to seeing Steve in the trumpet section when I play my occasional union performances and will miss his presence deeply.
