Knoxville

Doris Dykstra, 94, passed away October 31, at Griffins Nursing Center in Knoxville. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia (John) Haning; brother, Ralph (Dorothy) Porter; grandchildren, Randal (Sharon) Haning, Deborah Haning, Anthony (Deb) Haning, Ted (Shannon) Dykstra II, Tammy (Scott) Laird, Elizabeth (Gary) Hadler, Todd (Melanie) Dykstra and Tim (Christy) Dykstra; and 26 great grandchildren.

A visitation will held on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Knoxville. A funeral service will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Knoxville. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church or to HCI Care Services.

I will miss Great Aunt Doris and her bright smile. She passes down a legacy of thoughtfulness, good humor and a buoyant spirit. We were blessed to have her in our lives.
