March 8,2014 will be 5 months since my friend my sister went home to be with her Lord and Savior.I still can't get myself together, I still keep waiting for that phone call, and at work I still think I am going to run into her in the hallway. I just can't believe she is no longer here.So I must say "Ms.C this is the other Ms. C I miss you like you could not imagine, and there is such an emptiness inside of me and I fight daily to just have a normal day. What a impact you made on me. I will always love you and cherish the special friendship we had. Thank you for loving and excepting me unconditionally. Rickey, I knew Diana back when you and she were dating at UTA. Diana was the dorm director at Lipscomb Hall, and I worked for her as an RA. She was so good to work for, letting us do our jobs but always was there for us if we had any problems. I could see when I first met her that she had the light of Christ within her. Some people you meet and just remember forever, and Diana is one of those. I was glad to read that you married and had a son. Praying for you and your family. Rest in peace, Diana.

Diana always made me laugh with her side jokes. She and I attended state and regional confernces in TRiO and always found time to have dinner or just hang-out a few minutes in the lobby of the host hotel. She was indeed quite reserved, but a great person to spend time with. My prayers will continue for her family. God has embraced her into Heaven because he loves her so much!

I knew Diana years ago when she worked as a counselor at the University of Texas at Arlington. Diana worked with my mother, so I would only see her on occasions when I would stop by their office. I made it a point to say hi to Diana because she always had an opinion or something to say (in her unique way). She was interesting but also interested – in what I was doing, how school was going for me, etc. She could truly reach young people (I was in my teens at the time). My thoughts and prayers are with Rick and family.

Mrs. Conner was one of my favorite teachers. She would teach us a lot of things, she would encourage us to work hard. She wanted us to succeed, no matter how much we didn't like the fact she gave us so much work, she cared about our education. My senior year she showed us what college was about. She gave us these packets that were just like the accuplacer- those questions were hard. I am going to miss Mrs. Conner. She was a great teacher. I took it hard when I found out she passed, I had her for four years and Id like to thank her for the things she taught me and for helping me.

The world has lost a light. Diana was the reason my son Matt Carter graduated from Kennedale "High in 2009. She was his teacher for 4 years. She knew how to motivate and challenge him. I sent her flowers when he graduated. She was a wonderful lady. She will be missed

"Diana enjoyed helping people" ... That is such a true statement! She counseled people about more than academic interests or career choices. She shared life lessons to help people grow spiritually, emotionally, mentally and professionally. Diana was a nurturing soul. We worked together at UTA, and she will truly be missed. God bless your entire family during this time!

I remember Diana as a positive role model who always took the time at UTA to help students like me with selecting class, financial aid paperwork, and making good life decisions. As the EOC Director, Diana often worked hard to provide students with valuable resources as they endured their college journey. She was a good role model, leader, friend, and a WONDERFUL MENTOR. She was truly a Gem. I will miss you Diana. Thank you for teaching me the value of education. It's a tool that can brighten everyone's future. It was an honor to know you.

I will miss Diana very, very much. She wasn't just a friend but I believe that we were sisters who happened to be born in different families. We became friends from our first meeting so many years ago. We worked together at UTA through the TRIO EOC program. As a boss, Diana had no equal. She never asked any of her staff to do something that she would not do herself. In addition to managing her duties as the EOC director, Diana served 300+ participants each year. Diana encouraged, mentored, advised and assisted me though some difficult times. I told her that she was my earthly guardian angel; she thought that was funny. Diana served others with the love of Jesus Christ. I thank God for the gift of Diana and I cherish our friendship and memories. May she rest in His eternal peace.

I worked in the Sociology Department at UTA when Diana earned her Master's degree and when she worked in the Counseling Office. I remember her as a wonderful person who was always willing to help students get the best our educational system had to offer. My deepest sympathies to her family. She will be missed by many.
