Hazel Adamcik Obituary

Hazel Josephine "Jo" Adamcik, 90, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2015. Graveside service: Private service will be held at a later date. Jo was born Nov. 16, 1924, in Alvarado to Samuel T. and Ruby Bishop. She had one older sister, Fannie Lou. After graduation from Alvarado High School, she attended business school for two years in Fort Worth followed by employment at the Quartermaster Depot and later, Convair. She married Beno F. Adamcik on Nov. 8, 1947, in Fort Worth and they moved to Burleson, where they lived in the same house for 54 years before moving to Fort Worth in 2004. She and Ben enjoyed traveling, including extended road trips across the U.S. and several visits to Europe, but her favorite vacations were annual trips to Port Aransas. Jo will be remembered as a devoted wife and mother. She was a sweet lady and will be missed by all who knew her. Survivors: Jo is survived by her husband of 67 years, Beno F. Adamcik; son, Mike Adamcik; and daughter, Carol Bloomfield and her husband, Steve.

My deepest sympathy to the family. Josephine was a family friend. She was a dear friend to my cousin, Mildred Hickman Maberry. My Mother, Dorlas Hickman Roddy was a good friend to the Bishop family. I know this is a great loss. My thoughts are with the family.
