Not sure what to say?

I remember when The Doughboys played a show with the Critters at the Westfield Armory. I had some laughs with Don and Kenny Gorka back in the dressing room before the show. He was a standup guy. It was years later while reading an article about Don that I found out he wrote "Mr. Dieingly Sad" after meeting a girl at a Vibratones show who was originally going to see The Doughboys (who were then known as The Ascots) and the show was cancelled due to rain. They talked, he fell in love and Don...

He had a GTO , we were military buddies. He would give me the keys to drive his car anytime I wanted. We would go in his room and sing the night away. He was amazing

Always a pleasure to pull out my mono Critters LP and listen to that great music of my teens. Just played it this morning and was reading the liner notes (always brings a smile to my face at the words 'groovy beat,' and the black and white photos that always seem to have that awful resolution). Part of my life, and still think of a special girlfriend whenever I hear 'Younger Girl'. Thanks Don.

My condolences to your family, Brother. I call you Brother because we are both Veterans. Thank you for your service. I didn´t know you personally. I was 7 when your Masterpiece, Mr. Dieingly Sad came out and I heard it on the radio. It is hard not to get emotional as I think of how I can add to these fine Eulogies of you as the memory of your poetic lyrics, beautiful lead voice, sublime harmonies and in-the-pocket bass lines totally captivate my attention. It was the hearing of great music...

Donald was my cousin our moms were sisters just saw this obituary that he had passed. I know time has passed just wanted to say I´m sorry. Dolores Peluso

I'm still missing Don. He was a great music teacher for my step granddaughter and I. He even tried fixing my 12-string Epiphone once. Almost worked, but, it was too far gone, but, he did sign it for us. We even got to see the original music some of his hits he was involved with during Four Seasons and Critters. Miss you dude.

I am one of so many who appreciates the wonderful voice and deep talents of this awesome family man and Critter. I am going on 76 and got my Critters Anthology CD playing again today as I just got a car with Pioneer speakers. Thank you for the truly good and beautiful music. I never knew the band members. My ears and mind rejoice when I hear the Critters songs. I wish I had seen them play.

Thank you for the special memories of the best decade RIP don

Don was a beautiful person. Still miss him
