Gary Manczka Obituary


Gary E. Manczka, 64, of Little River, S.C., and formerly of Edinboro, Pa., passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 10, 2014. He was born January 22, 1950 in Erie, the son of the late Edward and Bernice Lubiejewski Manczka.

Gary graduated from Saint John Elementary, Cathedral Prep, and Gannon University. He was employed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for over 36 years. DER, DEP, and lastly as an Environmental Protection Specialist for the Bureau of Investigations. He was a member of the Jaycees, Edinboro Gun Club, Kearsarge VFD, Low Country Sports, and Secretary of HOA, Hidden Lakes Village, Little River, S.C.

Gary is survived by his wife of 41 years, Kathy Austin Manczka; his children, Nathan Manczka (Jill) of New Castle, Pa., Stacey Manczka-Fisher (Scott) of New Bern, N.C., and Joseph Manczka (Ashley) of Sumter, S.C.; his brothers, Michael Manczka (Kelli) of Monroe, N.C., and Jeffrey Manczka (Debby) of Erie; and three grandchildren, Joseph, Aubrey, and Ainsley.

A private family service was held at Graham Funeral Home, in Chesapeake, Va. Gary's final resting place will be in Little River, S.C.

Memorials may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Kearsarge VFD, Wounded Warrior Project, or the Amyloidosis Foundation.
