Sorry to hear about "Aunt" Joy......she helped keep me in line through the growing years. My thoughts and prayers are with ya'll. She was truely one of a kind teacher that I wish my children could have experienced. We still laugh at how she always caught us when we tried to cheat on her tests. She had a name that fit her......a true "Joy".

What a wonderful woman, mother, friend, and mentor! Teaching across the hall from JYK was a learning process as well as fun. I could always call on her for help. As we grew older and became friends I was fortunate enough to meet her family. She had a wonderful husband in Curtis and three wonderful children. To Curt, Kanette, and Kellye I want to say how lucky you were to have grown up with Joy as your mother. I know how much she loved each of you and how special you were to her. She will be missed by all lives touched by her. I feel blessed that she touched my life and I was able to call her my friend. God has a great teacher at his side now. I

"Joy", as we fondly called her, was a very sweet lady! She kept all of us boys in line during our high school days. She was a "cool" lady to all of our boyish pranks! I will certainly miss Mrs. Keough. She taught all of us how to have fun, learn our lessons and just how far to test our parents!

My thoughts and prayers are with Mrs. Keough's family as I have so many fond memories of her from CHS. We also enjoyed having her at the 40th reunion of CHS Class of '69 this summer. Susan Kelsey Smith
