Brown, Donna Mae 10/28/1924 - 1/3/2018 Brown, Donna Mae, of Flushing, age 93, went to be with the Lord and her family, on Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at Concerned Country Care in Montrose. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, January, 8, 2018, at Rossell Funeral Home. Pastor Bill Christensen will officiate. Burial will follow at Flushing Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m. Monday until the time of the service at the funeral home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the family. Donna was born in Flushing, Michigan on October 28, 1924, the daughter of Paul and Juanita (Bud) Penoyer and was a lifelong Flushing resident. She married Ray M. Brown on January 8, 1942, in Flushing. He preceded her in death on November 23, 2001. Donna worked as a Nurse's Aide for 28 years at St. Joseph Hospital. She was a member of Trinity Assembly of God. Donna enjoyed singing and dancing. Donna was proud to be the first woman to play on an all boys baseball team in Flushing. She was a talented decorator and also loved working in her yard, especially flower gardening. As an animal lover, she fondly spoke of her childhood horse, Buddy. Donna loved the Lord and was a people person who loved serving others. She is survived by her children, Greg R. and wife Denise Brown, Gary P. Brown, Bethany K. and husband Bob Burris, Michele A. Brown; grandchildren, Casey R. and wife Renee Brown, Jason P. and wife Lynn Brown, Brett A. and wife Trisha Burris, Brandi A. and husband Ron Logan; and nine great-grandchildren.
