Peacefully returned into the loving arms of her Eternal Father and loving husband on August 19, 2012 in Lapeer, Michigan. She was born August 14,
1935 in Detroit, MI the daughter of John and Mae (McElroy) Livingstone. Cathee lived in Chelsea from 1980 to 1998, when she moved to Fenton to be close to her daughters. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Chelsea and St. John the Evangelist Parish in Fenton, where she participated passionately in both church choirs. She also worked at the Methodist Home as a nurse
for a short time. Cathee was a dedicated animal lover and could quiet any fussy infant, and loved nothing more than being with and doing for her family. On November 26, 1955, she married her true love, Richard G. Parker in Berkley, MI, and he preceded her in death on
August 4, 1997. She was the mother of Terri (Jim) VanderLaan and Margie (Kevin) Jenema, both of Linden, Robert Parker of Jackson, Tonia Lawson of Manchester, and Mike (Sallie) Parker of Roff, OK; grandmother of Christie LaHaie, Chad, Jeremy, and Jodi VanderLaan, Haley Wood, Jamie, Ryan, and Brendan Jenema, Gregory and Beth Parker; proud great-grandmother of 13. She also leaves behind a fiance
and dedicated care giver Lowell "Red" Bashore of Lapeer
Sister of James and William Livingstone, and Dosh Milliron, who all preceded her in death. She will be missed by many
nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A special thanks to her caregiver Sandy and special friends Tim and Kay Bashore, including the whole Bashore family. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, August 24, 11:00 am at St. Mary Catholic Church, Chelsea, with Rev. Dr. William J. Turner officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Chelsea. The family will receive friends at Cole Funeral Chapel Thursday noon - 4 and 6-9, with a vigil service at 7pm. In lieu of flowers a memorial contribution may be made to Terri VanderLaan or Margie Jenema for funeral expenses.
