Michael Garty Obituary

Garty, Michael Shawn Of Burton, age 47, died Friday, October 17, 2014 at McLaren Flint. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Thursday, October 23, 2014 at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home, Rev. Sarah LaRose-Nettell officiating. Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Mr. Garty will lie in state at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home, G-1208 N. Ballenger Hwy., Flint Township, where friends may call 1-7 PM Wednesday. Michael was born in Flint, June 4, 1967. He was an avid Michigan fan and loved to watch Wolverine games with his sister. Left to cherish his memory are: Tiffany Simpson and their son, Leo; son, Nathan; his mother, Carol (Alfred) Paulk; sister, Lisa Garty (Kevin); niece, Angelia (Leon); nephew, Joshua; two great nephews, Marcus and Elijah; many friends and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his father, William D. Garty, Sr. and twin brother Mark Garty.
