Thank you, so much Mr. Conley for your contributions to Boston sports. May you rest in peace. my family's thoughts and prayers are with you.

I'm so sorry to hear that Gene died, last year. No wonder my Christmas card returned to me. I wondered what had happened. I am enclosing a poem, which I wrote, for a dear one who died.
Remembrances
Remembrances of times gone by,
Of times when you and I,
Would wander down a country lane,
Beneath a clear blue sky.
Remembrances of other days
When skies were not so blue,
But dark clouds never hovered long,
As long as I had you;
But time passed on, and you were...

Peace to the Conley Family. My Dad did Gene's laundry in wauwatosa Wisconsin. I was 10 when I first met him. Great athlete and man. Peace.

I would like to express my deepest sympathy to the family for their loss of your loved one. May God comfort and sustain you through this time of mourning.

My condolences to the Conley family for the loss of Gene. We will forever miss our good friend, his wonderful smile, memorable stories, great personality and true kindness. Rest in peace Gene and may you always hear those two great words. Play ball

May the greatest all around athlete in the history of Columbia High School rest in peace.
