Not enough can ever be said about the man as well as the friend......
,,,,,I believe that the whole family knows my name as a sportswriter and broadcaster Gene was ALWAYS there to help......

I'm so sorry to hear that Gene died, last year. No wonder my Christmas card returned to me. I wondered what had happened. I am enclosing a poem, which I wrote, for a dear one who died.
Remembrances
Remembrances of times gone by,
Of times when you and I,

Beneath a clear blue sky.

Peace to the Conley Family. My Dad did Gene's laundry in wauwatosa Wisconsin. I was 10 when I first met him. Great athlete and man. Peace.
