Not sure what to say?

Same time, next year...will miss you, what a wonderfully beautiful man...we will meet again! Xxoo

I was a freshman at UW in 1969 and remember George as a star player. Although never at his level, my love of basketball gave me over 50 years of team ball. Ultimately the knees gave out.

I had the honor of caring for George while he was in the hospital. What a great man, full of energy and stories and a high spirit. I was fortunate enough to meet many family members and witness a great amount of love. Judy was always by his side and a wonderful advocate.

George will certainly be missed and on behalf of the staff in the IMCU we send our condolences to the family and friends. In the time that I cared for George he gave me great insight into what life has to offer and...

Pat(Smokey) and I will miss your humor, friendship, and love for family and friends. I loved golfing with you and learning the term " fast pay- fast friends". We shared many things over the years and your courage during this last bout of cancer and lupus took every ounce of energy you had. You fought hard to the end being the true fighter you were. RIP friend. Smokey only wishes she could cook you one more...

My sincere condolences to the family and friends of George Irvine for your...

A good friend, a good coach, but a better person.

Thinking of your family

George was a star on earth as he will be in heaven. Knowing him and his brother, Earle, has been a blessing for me throughout my life. R.I.P.

I started school in the same kindergarten class with George and he lived on the next block from me. We played Little League baseball together as ten-year-olds. George scored the winning basket in 5th grade when we beat the 8th grade in a school tournament.
My family moved away after that, but I used to run into him occasionally through high school. He always had the same genuine smile and sense of humor whenever we saw each other. Many years later, I took my oldest daughter to a Sonics...
