Gerald Lorberblatt Obituary

Lorberblatt, Gerald C.

Gerald C. Lorberblatt, 80, Woodruff, WI resident, formerly of Green Bay died unexpectedly Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at St. Vincent Hospital. He was born April 23, 1933 in Green Bay to the late Joseph and Josephine (Calewarts) Lorberblatt. Gerald graduated from Central Catholic High School and served 2 years in the U.S. Army. Following his service for our country he started employment at Libert Machine and eventually moved to W.E. Thew Supply where he became the owner. He retired in 1988. Jerry married the former Mary (DeJardin) Ostrenga on July 23, 1999 in Green Bay. Jerry and Mary moved to their summer home in Woodruff "officially" in 2012. He was a longtime member of the Kiwanis Club and Ducks Unlimited. Jerry was an avid fisherman, enjoyed hunting and traveling. He always had time for a card game with family and friends and was the "world's greatest bartender"…. according to Jerry. It was always 5:00 O'Clock somewhere! He enjoyed putzing on his projects, which were never ending and always time consuming.

He is survived by "his" love, Mary; three daughters, Mina Lorberblatt-Teske and Dr. John Teske; Clare Lorberblatt-Zipperer; Trudy Lorberblatt, all of Green Bay; three step-daughters, Jodi Hendrickson and her fiancé Perry Gilbertson, Oconto Falls; Jessica and Bob Ahnen, Little Suamico; Jaimee and Chad Van Vonderen, Green Bay; six grandchildren, Marti and Mackenzie Teske, Klayton and Kyra Zipperer, Kayla and Trevor Hendrickson; great-grandson, Aiden (Teske) Ama; his brother Ronald Lorberblatt, Green Bay; Brother-in-law Stephen (Mary) Maufort; his in-laws: Marie DeJardin; Herbert Duescher, Julian Romuald, Betty (Roger) Schroeder, Judy Watzka, Paula DeJardin, Sharon (Chuck) Bergner, Wayne (Judy) DeJardin, Dennis (Bonnie) DeJardin and Steven (Kathy) DeJardin; many nieces and nephews; a special family friend, Liz Kleba.

He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Marty Lorberblatt; five brothers-in-law: Marvin P. DeJardin, Marvin T. DeJardin, Cletus DeJardin, Msgr. Richard Maufort and John Maufort; two sisters-in-law, Bernice Duescher and Joan Romuald.
