Donald,
Sorry I couldn't make the service. Your mom meant a lot to me as a teen and I will never forget her. Your household was a refuge to me when mine was in chaos. It is a shame we lose track of people who shaped our lives in ways we can't recount. As an adult although I thought about her often, I only had contact with her a few times. I will always remember her laughter and love of life.

We lost a very old and special friend. In her 93 plus years, Aunt Betty got more out of life than anyone we know and she shared her joy in life with all of us. She was my mother's best friend, my kids' second grandma and my golf-cards-backyard bonfire-roadtrip-drinking companion. "Life is a banquet and most poor suckers are starving to death!" Not "Wild" Aunt Betty. It's Wednesday. There's a bridge game in Heaven today. "Dewars and a little water, and hurry it up!"

PS: Don't forget kitchen made chili sauce, scrumptious pork chops and applesauce with loads of cinnamon.

Donald, I was so sorry to hear about your mom. We enjoyed seeing her when we visited my mom (Pat Ciminelli). She was a lovely woman and I will always remember walking over to see her and having a tea party when we lived on Union Road. We will keep her and you in our prayers. We were planning a visit to mom on Oct. 25th so if you are still in town let mom know.

The world has lost a fabulous woman with an infectious laugh, a gift for cards and a heart of gold. I had the pleasure of accompanying Betty with my mother to Saratoga for several years to see the NYC Ballet. It's hard to imagine that she will not be excitedly scanning the program for favorite dancers and dances. She was pat of my childhood favorite memories. She was a delight to know and love. I will miss her.

Betty was one of my parents oldest and dearest friends. As a result I have many memories of times playing cards with Betty, Christmas Eve celebrations at her home in Cheektowaga, Independence Day celebrations, and many other times. My deepest sympathy to Donald for his loss.
