Not sure what to say?

I wish I could have met this wonderful person. Leatherface is regarded as the "Father of all Slashers". The Texas Chain Saw Massacre started the modern slasher horror genre with Marylin Burns Sally Hardesty being one to Start the "final Girl" trope that became an important role in horror movies. Thank You Gunner. May you rest in power.

A brilliant actor and a gentle giant. You brought so much energy and passion into all of your movies and im glad the world got to see what you had to bring. No one is ever truly gone until they are forgotten and we won’t forget you Gunnar aka Leather Face/Bubba. R.I.P

Met some of his fellow actors again today and there was much talk of him. I was lucky enough to meet him a few times over and each time I was amazed at his intelligence and presence. True creative talent.

Happy Heavenly Birthday Gunnar AL

Saw the Texas chainsaw massacre the year it came out. I was 13. My older brother took me to see the movie. I was floored. Leather face is my favorite horror character. We always wondered who played that character. Still my favorite horror picture. Wish I had met Gunnar. Rest In Peace.

chainsaws everywhere are stilledRIP thanks for the memories

Brilliant actor. Love your work. Never forgotten, Rest in Peace sir.

It's rough times like this when I'd call you and chat hours about filmmaking.. Cloak and Daggers was your favorite! I miss you man! ;( ~Otherface
