My mom and dad were patients of Dr. May for years. They often spoke of him, his great sense of humor and how he made his patients feel like family with his calm and caring demeanor. Upon receiving the notice in the mail of Dr. May's passing my parents were totally shocked and so very upset. They still speak of his sudden and premature passing with great sorrow and will miss him dearly. Our family sends much love and deepest of sympathy to the May family. May the good Lord guide and give you strength through this very difficult and painful time. Aldo and Wilma DiBacco

Dear Dr. Susan, Family and Staff.
Andrew, Bethany and I were completely devastated and in shock to hear of Dr. Chris's passing. He was a great dentist, always happy and kind and funny...He could always make me smile even knowing that being there was the last place on earth I wanted to be. I am so sorry for your loss. He will be greatly missed!

Seems that most everyone signing this knew him as Dr. May but I knew him as Mr. May, my 7th grade homeroom and science teacher in Canton. It is nice to see that the gentle man in the classroom became the gentle dentist. Although I have not seen him since 1982, I have thought about him often. School wasn't easy for me, personally, and his calm, sensitive demeanor made class easier. He will be missed. I am sorry for your loss and I am sure he is watching over all of us.

To the May Family and Staff:
Words cannot even be expressed of the news of Dr. Chris' passing. Travis and I have been patients of the May's for many years. Dr. May always spoke so highly of Mrs. May and his boys. He was so happy that one of his sons were getting married. My last noteable memories of Dr. May were him thanking us for our visit and shaking our hands to wish us well. Prior to that memory, I can recall two occasions when Dr. May provided 2 emergency dental calls. One was for when Travis had gotten the front of his mouth injured from sports and one for myself with excrutiating pain from a root canal issue. Dr. Chris' integrity, genuine nature, compassion, professionalism, humor, singing and zest for life will be greatly missed. The last time we saw Dr. May, he marveled how quickly Travis had grown over the years and that Travis was taller than him!
He loved Mrs. May and his sons with all his heart. He would talk about often. May God give you the peace that passes all understanding.
Blessings of God's Love in this Difficult Time....
Nyla D. and Travis K.

I am so sorry for the loss of Dr. Chris. He was the best dentist I every had. He had such a way of making his patients feel comfortable and at ease.
He was patient and caring with my elderly mother, for which I will forever be grateful and he always eased my own concerns when I was in the chair. I liked sitting in his chair and looking at the 'family wall.' He was so very proud of all his family and especially his dauther-in-law. It's not every dentist who will share his family with his patents and I think that's what helped to make his patients feel so comfortable.
Of course he always had a joke but my favorite was his unique impression of Bill Clinton.
May God bless you and I will keep you all in my prayers.

Dr. Susan & Family,
I am deeply saddened as I have been a patient of the practice for well over 25 years.
Dr. May's exuberance or if you will bounce for my dental visits at 7am was always a treat to experience & I had already been awake for several hours tanked up on coffee myself.
He shared my interest in local government & I know that he really got to know how towns really worked once he got onto the Avon town council.
At the end of each visit, he was always gracious & generous when I'd check if there was new bears which were really for the children but he always would encourage me to take one if I really liked one.

I am so shocked and upset over learning of Dr. May's passing. I have been his neighbor for nearly a decade and always enjoyed his friendly smile and pleasant attitude. It has truly been a joy to work next door to such a nice man. He will be greatly missed. My deepest sympathies to Dr. Sue and family.

I only met Dr. May once, I am from upstate NY and was visiting my daughter and her family. I had a bad toothache and my daughter called to see if he could fit me in. He did...I found him to be the nicest, funniest, coolest dentist I had ever been to. The world has lost a truly wonderful soul. My sincere wishes of sympathy to his family.

We were very sad to learn of Chris' passing. Chris was always very positive. He was especially supportive of the annual National Day of Prayer in Avon. The last several years, as a member of the Avon Town Council, he read the governor's proclamation as part of Avon's ceremony held the first Tuesday of May at the Avon Town Green. We would often meet him swimming at Farmington Farms. We had many great discussions---usually both spiritual and political as well as about our families. We greatly miss him. Susan---you and your family have our deepest, heartfelt condolences!!

We were so shocked to read of Dr. May's passing. As long time patients of his, he never failed to make us feel comfortable, especially me, a previously skittish patient, with his jokes, and teasing Rick about his loyalty to the Cowboys ( he would try to encourage him to change allegiances to Buffalo). Dr. Susan, our thoughts and prayers are with you, your sons and daughter-in-law during this difficult time. We will miss Chris...
Fondly,

My condolences to the May family on Dr. May's passing.
I was a patient of Chris May for many years.
He made my visits fun and pleasant, smiling, upbeat and singing always.
Oh yes, the singing. I'm sure he is leading the choir.

I am devastated to hear of Dr. May's sudden passing. I was a patient of his for the last 20 years and enjoyed his wonderful sense of humor. He was always smiling and positive, and he spoke so proudly of his wife and boys. My deepest sympathy to his family. He will be missed.
