Alice Timmer Obituary
She was preceded in death by her husband O. Jay Timmer in 2009 and a daughter Jayne Marie.
Alice is survived by her children John and Mariellen Timmer, Jim and Holly Timmer, Kathleen Timmer, Barb Timmer Faaola and Tony Faaola, and by 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She is also survived by several nephews, nieces, cousins and other extended family members.
A funeral service be on Monday, July 6 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Church, located at 480 152nd Street in Holland. Visitation will be from 10:15 until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society or to Hospice of Holland. Please visit www.lakeshorememorial.com to leave a message or memory for the Timmer family.

I had the honor of meeting Alice toward the end of her life and enjoyed her so much. We read devotionals and Paddle-to-the-Sea. I regret that we weren't able to finish the book and Paddle's journey, but I hope that Alice did in her mind. Kathy Austin, Holland Hospice volunteer.

My prayers are with your family. I recently started as a chaplain at Providence and visited Alice. She was sleeping peacefully, so I prayed for her and for her loved ones even though we did not meet. I will continue to lift you up in prayer.

Barb and family:
I always enjoyed talking to Alice whenever we would run into each other at one of her grandkids sporting events. She was always so proud of all of them. She was a great lady. So sorry for your loss.

Our thoughts & prayers are with the family. I have known Alice most of my life & she was a wonderful person. She had been friends with my grandparents & was also my playground teacher at Waukazoo school. I have many happy memories with Alice & family, with Barb after swim meets, sleep overs or just visiting with her at church. She will be truly missed.
