Alvin Overbeek Obituary
Alvin was a member of Hamilton Christian Reformed Church. He volunteered many years for CRWRC. He was the founder of Ace Builders where he worked until retirement in 1992.
Alvin was preceded in death by his first wife, Clarissa Overbeek in 1984; and second wife, Helene Overbeek in 2006.
He is survived by his children, Judy and Scott Van Order of Zeeland, Harvey and Linda Overbeek of Holland, Larry and Debbie Overbeek of Holland, and Jerry and Sue Overbeek of Holland; 23 grandchildren; and 37 great-grandchildren; stepchildren, Ronald and Mary Breuker of Holland, Robert and Karen Breuker of Holland, Laverne and Lois Breuker of St. Joseph, Kenneth and Carol Breuker of Zeeland, Janice and Jerry Meyaard of Zeeland, Joyce and Kelvin Brown of Holland, Joan Breuker and Charles Hanks of Zeeland; sister, Juliana Meiste; brothers-in-law, George Kuiper and Howard Meewsen; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, April 4, 2014, at Lakeshore Memorial Services, 11939 James St., Holland. Officiating will be Rev. Ronald De Young. Burial will be in East Saugatuck Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Lakeshore Memorial.
