Andreas was my apprentice when we both worked for Aluminum Storefront in San Leandro. I learned a lot from him, it was because of his influence that I became an instructor and later the training coordinator for the Glaziers of the East Bay. For whatever reason he persisted that I get involved in the teaching of the trade. I have never regretted it. The world is a better place because of his all to short stay with us all. I guess we learned a lot from each other. Rest in peace, until the great maker of us all calls us home.

My deepest sympathies to the Gaide family. I too was a classmate of Andreas'. I remember him as a gentle young man, with a beautiful smile. Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. Matthew, 5:4.

A person needed only to meet Andreas once, to get a sense of his force of personality and determination. His wicked humor and love of family and the outdoors was obvious. He was an impressive spirit, both raucous and caring. He was a complicated and special person. My condolences to his family and friends for their indescribable loss.

Dearest Sheryl, Austin, Aaron, Renate and Thomas. Words can't express the sorrow we are all feeling for what you all must be experiencing. I was a neighbor down the street on Maracaibo Rd, and I like to think a friend from years ago. I went to school with Andreas from the beginning of our School years at JFK to Pacific High School. As we grow up, we all end up going our seperate ways. This does not mean we never think of the people that have touched our lives throughout the years. I know that the world was a better place, because Andreas was in it. My prayers are there for you all.

Sheryl, Austin, Aaron & Renate, I was a neighbor on Driftwood and classmate since JFK elementary. Andreas and my brother-in-law Dave Parker hung out together during high school; I remember his yellow Toyota 4x4 with rollbar & fog lights! I am so sorry for your loss; my prayers to you and your family.

Dear Sheryl, Austin, Aaron;
Andreas and his crew were always replacing doors and windows for us at our properties and unfortunately I never had alot of time to get to know him as well as I would have liked, but he was always a great guy to work with and we will miss him.
Our prayers and thoughts are going out to you and your family.
Warmly,
Tony Baptista

Sheryl, Austin and Aaron...
I had alot of great memories growing up with Andreas. I remember 4-wheeling in his new Toyota pick-up with our Japanese exchange student. He had such a blast introducing this to his new friend. I always liked that he did what he wanted and was always smiling. I will always remember his laughter and the sound of his laugh! I pray for peace for you and your family.

I was lucky to be able to call you my friend. My memory of Andreas was him coming to my home to meet my dad so that we could go to the Ninth Grade Graduation Dance. My dad scared poor Andreas. Peace be with Sheryl and the boys.
