Andreas was my apprentice when we both worked for Aluminum Storefront in San Leandro. I learned a lot from him, it was because of his influence that I became an instructor and later the training coordinator for the Glaziers of the East Bay. My deepest sympathies to the Gaide family. I too was a classmate of Andreas'. I remember him as a gentle young man, with a beautiful smile. Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. Matthew, 5:4.

A person needed only to meet Andreas once, to get a sense of his force of personality and determination. His wicked humor and love of family and the outdoors was obvious. He was an impressive spirit, both raucous and caring. He was a complicated and special person. My condolences to his family and friends for their indescribable loss.
