Artis Leon Valentine
STARR, S.C.
Artis "Snap" Valentine, 61, passed away on October 27, 2014. He retired from Clemson University and U.S. Engine Valve. He is survived by his wife, Beverly Skelton Valentine; three sons, Brenton Valentine; Rasu Wright, and Jordan Valentine; seven grandchildren; brothers, Garland Valentine, James Michael Valentine, and Lashon Willingham; sisters, Geraldine Latimore, Darlene Pruitt, Minister Kathy Jones, Diane Blunt, Sandra Williams, Hilda Anderson, and Elder Bettie Flood. He was preceded in death by his parents; David and Cornelia Valentine; sisters, Connie Rice and Lee Frances Williams; and one brother, Wayman Valentine. The funeral service will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Pine Grove Baptist Church in Iva, SC. The interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Westminster, SC. The family is at the home of his sister, Minister Kathy Jones, 206 Leona Drive in Iva.

Our prayers are with all of the Valentine family. We have known Artis a long time through military, work and just personally seeing him out. Artis was always the same no matter when or where you saw him. Always had you laughing. He will truly be missed!!!

Didn't know Artis very long but the time I did know him will always be cherished. He was always smiling and caring and willing to help where needed.
