Norma Lane Obituary

LANE, NORMA JEAN Jackson, MI Age 91, died October 9, 2012 in Jackson. She was born July 25, 1921 in Hillsdale, Michigan, the daughter of John Arthur and Hester (Brathlon) Hilderbrandt. Norma was a long-time citizen of Jackson, Michigan. She retired from K-Mart, and was a pharmacist mate third class in the United States Navy during WWII. Norma was a long time member of South Jackson Community Church. Survivors include three sons, Robert G. (Renee) Lane of Wilson, NC, Randolph A. (Jo) Lane of Dexter, Michigan and Alan R. Lane of Charlotte, NC; a sister Vera Jean Hilderbrandt; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Isabel Mae Ross. A memorial service date is pending and will be announced at a later date in this publication. Memorial contributions may be made to Jackson County Humane Society.

To the family of Mrs. Lane, I offer my sympathy. I was one of Norma's nurses and cared very much for her. Norma Jean was one of a kind, and I will never forget her.

May all your families share treasured memories together. Mrs Lane, Jean to my mother Bess Richardson, was a wonderful, talkative and dear neighbor on Hatch Road. Prayers for the family go up from my home.
