Not sure what to say?

I majored in film in college and had the nerve to tell his nephew Chris when we were working on a low budget film that his uncle (who recently won the Academy Award!) that he should view my senior project.. he did and had his office call me .. I worked on many projects in the early 80´s the coolest was the project with Jacques D´Amboise of ABT .. on teaching inner city kids to dance we had Barishnakov and Judy Collins at that shoot .. he was fun funny serious creative (anyone remember that...

Condolences to all the Avildsen
The years of building in Sagaponack were wonderful
John had a way of pulling the best work out of me , he was demanding and knew what he wanted, I thank him for his direction
He was good at his trade
God be with you my friend and go in peace
-Bob

RIP John - you are forever in my heart and will carry our memories along for a lifetime.

John produced many great works that I enjoyed watching with my family.
May John Rest In Peace and may you find comfort in knowing the God of Tender Mercies cares for him and you.

I would like to express my deepest condolences to the family for their loss of a talented man. I hope you find comfort and help in God during this time of sorrow.

May the God of all peace bring comfort to the Avildsen family and friends at this difficult time.

I would like to express my deepest sympathy to Ash and family. I know that my son, Daniel McBride, is so grateful to work with Ash and Sumerian Records and know that John's legacy lives on through Ash to inspire his generation with talent and all of the attributes of his father!

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always.
