To the family and friends of Lance Cpl. Jonathan Stroud:
Always remembering Jonathan. "Some gave all."

July 30, 2011
To the family and friends of Lance Cpl. Jonathan Stroud:
Please accept my remembrance of Jonathan on the anniversary of his passing and know that he will never be forgotten.

The flag is flying in the sky
A daily reminder of who and why
We sit here remembering them today
These heroes that now lie in their grave.

While here on earth, the bravest ones
A soldier, a mother, a daughter, a son
The father's who went far off to war
To ensure our safety and so much more

To keep our children happy and free,
Someone must do this job, you see
So, today remember the soldiers who served,
Because this is one...

It's been one year. Remembering your son and his bravery today. Your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Carol McLemore,
Marine Mom to Jacob Precht

To the family of Jonathan Stroud:

I am very sorry for your loss. I began my Works of Heart project for families like yours. I offer a free pencil portrait to Oklahoma military families who have lost someone in this war. It is just a small way I can say “Thank you” and “I’m sorry.” Master’s House Framing in Moore, Oklahoma, is generously providing their framing services for this project.

I would very much like to draw David for you if you are interested. Just contact me...

To the family of Lance Cpl. Jonathan Stroud:
Jonathan gave the ultimate sacrifice and will be held in the hearts of Americans forever. I cannot and will not let our fallen heroes be forgotten. My deepest sympathy to you. "Some gave all."
